Biography

For the past four years, Ms. Worrall has been running a financial consulting business, Worrall Consulting, providing financial planning and strategy advice to small and mid-sized businesses as a interim or part-time CFO. In her tenure as a business owner, she has gained experience in client relations, operations, company valuation, and portfolio management.

Prior to founding her company, Ms. Worrall was the Chief Financial Officer for Reactive NanoTechnologies. During that time, she raised $10.5 million in venture capital and $400,000 in venture debt. In 2004, she was named as a finalist for Maryland Entrepreneur of the Year by the Technology Council of Maryland. As one of the founding members of the management team, she was responsible for all financial matters and operational matters including leasing office space, hiring employees, and overseeing IT.

Preceding her entrepreneurial endeavors, Ms. Worrall spent two years as an Equity Analyst for Mercantile Safe Deposit & Trust. She performed detailed investment analysis of companies within a variety of industries and received top performance bonus for stock selection in 1999. Her career prior to business school was primarily in the computer and energy consulting fields.

Ms. Worrall received her Masters of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 1998. While at Virginia, she received the William Michael Shermet Award for Academic Excellence and was inducted into the Raven Society and Omicron Delta Kappa. She received her Bachelor of Science in 1991 from Vanderbilt University where she majored in Computer Science, English and Mathematics. In addition, she is currently sitting for the CPA Exam.

Ms. Worrall acquired the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in November 2000.
